Setting up click-to-dial
- Go toSettingsin the left navigation bar.
- Click thePhonetab.
- UnderGeneral, turn onUse RingCentral for click-to-dial and fax.
- Set RingCentral as your default app for click-to-dial.
Setting default app for click-to-dial/fax on Windows- Open Windows search and enterProtocolin the search field.
- SelectChoose a default app for each link type (in Windows 10,it will beChoose a default app for each protocol).
- Scroll toCALLTOand clickChoose a default.
- If you already have a default app, click the app icon.
- In theChoose an appwindow, selectRingCentral,OK.
- Scroll toFAXand clickChoose a default.
- If you already have a default app, click the app icon.
- In theChoose an appwindow, selectRingCentral, then clickOK.
Setting default app for click-to-dial/fax on Mac- Open the FaceTime app.
- Click theFaceTimemenu.
- ClickPreferences. Note: You’ll need to be signed in with your Apple ID to access the Preferences menu.
- ForDefault for calls,selectRingCentral.
Using click-to-dial- Make sure you’re signed in to the RingCentral app on your desktop.
- From any website or text message, click a number you wish to call.
- On theMake a call frompopup, selectRingCentralto open the dialpad and automatically make a call.
